This device replaces your whole leg from the hip joint. As seen in the picture it consists of a Socket, Hip joint, Knee joint, ankle joint, foot and pylons to match with your height. There are variety of Hip, Knee, Ankle joints and foot are available for you to choose at your cost.

Trans Femoral Prosthesis

At this level the hip joint and a part of the thigh is intact with the residual limb. With a transfemoral prosthesis we have to replace the knee joint, ankle joint, foot and pylons to match with your height. There are variety of Knee, Ankle joints and foot are available for you to choose at your cost.

Knee Disarticulation Prosthesis

If you have received a Knee Disarticulation Prosthesis you have lost your knee joint, shin, ankle joint and the foot. With using a knee disarticulation prosthesis, you will have to replace the knee joint, shin, ankle joint and the foot artificially. With ample amount of training, you are able to walk without any support and you should be able proceed with your daily activities as usual. Many types of components are available at your cost. Discuss with our prosthetist to have the best for you.

Below Knee Prosthesis

Below knee prosthesis are to replace a limb that is amputated below the knee level and functions of the ankle joint and the foot are no longer available. There are two artificial limb types are applicable to this section. One is called Transtibial prosthesis and the other is Ankle disarticulation prosthesis.

Transtibial Prosthesis

After receiving this amputation part of your shin, ankle joint and the foot is no longer available, and you will have to replace them with an artificial limb. There are many types of ankle joints and feet are available at your cost. Your prosthetist will suggest the best for your daily life.

Ankle Disarticulation Prosthesis

At this level of amputation, the foot will be removed at the ankle joint. You might be able to walk short distances with a limp with the remaining residual limb you have. It is recommended to use a prosthesis for your daily activities and to reduce future compilations such as back pain, knee osteoarthritis and etc. Ankle Disarticulation Prosthesis consists of a socket and a foot. Some may include an ankle joint depending on the remaining space for the attachment of components. Many types of components are available at your cost for your prosthesis and your prosthetist will assist you to choose the best for you.
